Standards-based integration with the LMS you already run
ICT Exam speaks LTI 1.3 and LTI Advantage, so your school can launch AI exams from inside its existing learning platform and send grades straight back. Here is how the integration works and what we have verified.
One standard, four building blocks
LTI 1.3 and LTI Advantage are the open standards that connect teaching tools to a learning platform. ICT Exam uses all four parts of that standard, in plain terms below.
Secure launch
Teachers and students open ICT Exam from a course page with one click. Every launch is signed and verified, so there's no second login to manage.
Deep linking
Place a specific exam right inside a course module. The exam appears where students expect it, next to the rest of the coursework.
Grade passback (AGS)
When grading is confirmed, scores flow back into the LMS gradebook automatically through Assignment and Grade Services, so teachers don't re-enter marks.
Roster sync (NRPS)
The course roster pulls in automatically with Names and Role Provisioning Services, so the class list stays in step with the LMS.
Native Moodle integration
Add ICT Exam as an activity inside any Moodle course. Teachers build or import a paper, publish it, and students take the exam without leaving Moodle. Grades return to the Moodle gradebook on their own.
- ✓Add an ICT Exam activity straight inside a Moodle course
- ✓Automatic grade passback to the Moodle gradebook
- ✓Roster sync keeps the class list current
- ✓One launch, no extra account for students
Verified against saLTIre
We tested the core launch flow and grade passback against saLTIre, the LTI reference platform from the ceLTIc Project. That gives you outside confirmation that ICT Exam follows the standard, not just our word for it.
Verified with LTI 1.3 platforms
Because ICT Exam follows the LTI 1.3 standard, it works with every platform below. We have verified the launch and grade passback flow against each one, with Moodle fully integrated through its native plugin.
✓ Verified means we have tested the LTI 1.3 launch and grade passback against that platform. Names and logos belong to their respective owners.
Built to protect exam data
Assessment data is sensitive, so security runs through the whole platform, not just the login screen.
Transport and tokens
All traffic runs over HTTPS. Launch tokens carry expiry, nonce, and state checks so requests can't be replayed.
Access and accounts
Role-based access keeps teachers, admins, and students apart. Repeated failed logins are locked out, and passwords reset by email.
Accountability
An audit log tracks key actions, soft delete keeps records recoverable, and uploaded files are validated before processing.
Run it standalone or inside your LMS
ICT Exam runs as a secure web app. Use it on its own with direct student and teacher links, or embed it in your LMS over LTI. Optional integrations are switched on per institution.
Standalone web app
Start straight away with student and teacher links. No LMS required to run a full exam cycle.
Embedded in your LMS
Launch from a course page over LTI 1.3, with grades flowing back to the gradebook.
Optional services
Turn grade passback, roster sync, and email alerts on or off to match how your institution works.
